From its formation through the 1996 merger of the Fitzroy Football Club and the Brisbane Bears, the Brisbane Lions have forged a proud and resilient identity. After early challenges, the club rose to prominence with an extraordinary era of success, claiming three consecutive premierships from 2001 to 2003, one of the most dominant periods in modern AFL history.
